1. these are Charlize Theron's legs (not taken by me)
from the J'adore (Dior perfume) ad on TV. I'm generally pretty happy with my body, wish I was a little taller, but dayum I wish I had legs like these. The ad has been running incessantly on cable, and I'm suffering from a little ankle-envy:

:o

The photo of your son is wonderful, lost...

3. and this is Shadowfax, Gandalf's horse
(can you tell what's on TV right now??)

Shadowfax was a beautiful horse. In the daylight his coat appeared silver, while at night it was a shadowy grey that made Shadowfax nearly invisible in the dark. He was light-footed and extremely swift and could run great distances without tiring.

I think cameras make him nervous because he came from rescue, and when someone took his picture that meant he was going to change homes again.

So it's really hard to catch him in a good pose, dernit!

33. It's just a rental.
I've been up here for 3 months. The sale on our house in Texas closes on Thursday, and then reprehensor can finally join me up here.

When the lease is up, then we'll start examining our options up here. I'm actually really surprised. I'm a lifelong Texan. I figured I'd hate the snow, but I really don't. My health has improved since I've been up here out of the heat, so it's all good! :hi:

the cold bothers my joints

grew up in the cold

Arkansas isn't really a good climate either it is too variable, and it is humid like Texas.

Maybe it is the dryness? I don't know where you are

pretty house anyway

hope you have good luck and Reprehensor can join you soon!

68. It's the MS.
I absolutely cannot handle the heat anymore.

From May to OCtober, I have to sprint from the car into the house. I miss gardening, which I can't really do anymore in 104 degrees. And surprisingly, the snow hasn't bothered me like I thought it would. My legs are a little sluggish in the cold, but not bad.

I lost ten pounds the first month I was up here without even trying since I was finally getting outside and walking and exercising for the first time in 2 years.

I figure that if I have to stay inside for 6-9 months of the year, I'd like for it to be the crappy half!

30. great pictures.
lostnnj, you must be so proud of your son.

okay, here's one I took...

my favorite place where I live. where I'd live if I could. Now it's surrounded by snow, but the water isn't frozen.

this one comes with a story. so, I've never really tried to get a photo of myself via a mirror and so I just went to the largest mirror in my house, the bathroom, and then I checked to see if the picture worked and I saw that when my son cleaned the bathroom, he apparently cleaned the mirror with something other than windex that then slid down the mirror and so... that's what's what. Did I clean it then? No. he gets to fix the mirror cleaning when he gets home. right now I am buried in books. stacks of books for one thing or another thing. it's too much. sooo here's my embarrassing gross mirror picture during my break from books.

Edited on Sun Dec-16-07 11:25 PM by DarkTirade
Dunno about the red one.

But the blue one used to be a place for loading, storing and unloading things onto a train route that passed nearby. There's still a small section of track right next to it that never got pulled up.

*edit* I think you can kind of see one of the doors on the side of the barn there on the left... just the very bottom of it. It's a huge bay door that's raised a few feet off the ground for easier transfer to and from train cars. :) At least, that's what it looked like to me.
