Fogelberg rarely recorded covers; most of his music was written, played and sung (background vocals, too) by himself.

I remember a rumor that went around a long time ago that he had gotten throat cancer. Weird that he actually ended up succumbing to cancer. :cry:

11. I am still so terribly saddened by this

this morning. I still can't quite believe it, I guess. Such a beautiful man, beautiful voice, beautiful songs. I feel so terrible for his wife, Jean. They had only been married for five years. How tragic to lose someone you love in such a short time.

I can't help but feel for her right now. It must have been so hard to watch him battle his cancer and then to lose him. She's living my nightmare. I didn't meet my husband until late in life, either, and then almost didn't marry him because I'm always in fear of this tragic a loss.
