It's a winter wonderland. Bah humbug.

I guess every once in a while I guess I need a reminder of why I choose to live in coastal Alabama.

And so I'm sitting here in my daughter's living room in Melrose, MA, watching the snow fall, on top of the snow that fell Saturday, on top of the snow that fell a few days before that, on top of ...ad infinitum.

The sidewalks are impassible. The streets have narrowed to a lane and a half. The banks of plowed snow that line them are 3 to 4 feet high.
And it's cold. Damn, it's cold.
Even the dog doesn't want to go out.
I wonder how long he can hold it?

Tomorrow's forecast for home is 74 degrees and sunny.
"But...but...", you say, "without cold and snow it just isn't CHRISTMAS!"
Horse. Hockey.
I could be just as merry at 74 degrees.
Merrier, even.
And I'm here all because of a dead cat.
But that's another story.
