I very much enjoy Anonymous 4. I like their recordings of Hildegard von Bingen's compositions as well.

2. we have seen them once or twice at the Renaissance and Baroque Society

it was breath-taking. I was pregnant with my son at the time, and I remember vividly him being very active throughout the show. I assume it was because he liked it....


Another reason I think they are so wonderful.

5. I just got that one, yes that's them!

and I didn't realize that it was them at first - I just tend to buy Medieval music, period, and then I was psyched when I realized it was them.

I've read that their instrumentation is their own choice, not necessarily completely true to the period, but it works. It's not cheezy, if that's what my words invoke...
