Your family is a bunch of vagabonds!
that's what my wife said to me, as she corrected the mailing address on the 4th Christmas card to my relatives this year.

Four wasted envelopes!

:grr: grumble, grumble, grumble...

1. Kick
Okay, so youze guys families don't move around?

My family changes address as often as they change underwear.

Eight generations back, every one of my freaking ancestors has moved, because they can't stand to be next to each other...

No, I'm not kidding; I have the documents to prove it...

4. Same for my mother's side of the family
In the Rio Grande Valley since 1730.

That's the difference between mining and farming.

My father's family were miners; every generation had to find a new lode. My mother's family were ranchers; they stayed in the same place, till they were kicked out after the Texas war of independence, 1836.

Good thing they only had to move across the river to the other half of their property.

5. This is my 4th abode
And keeping up with tradition. Not one of my male ancestors for 8 generations has married, or raised a family in the place where they were born. That's since 1740 for the male side of the family...
