No, really. I'm making a figgy pudding. I just chopped up the dried figs and put them into the food processor.

11. Christmas Cat is related to Ceiling Cat.
Yes, 18 is a lot. I have had others make it that far. I guess Grendel is 16 or 17 right now. He's an orange tabby. Nicest soul you ever met.

Going deaf is not uncommon I understand, although I don't think I ever had a cat that it happened to.

Very Christmas and the zester was free - from Gourmet magazine, I believe, or it might have been Bon Appetit.

19. I woke up to "play santa"
and put some gifts for the kiddoes under the tree. Imagine my surprise to find everything already out. My husband got up and did it, he even ate the cookies and drank the milk.

Seeing everything there, it was like Santa really did come.

41. Got up around 5:00am. Now I'm waiting for
everyone else to wake up. Tree lights are turned on and I see Santa came last night.

Honestly, I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep because I have back ache. Time to pop a pain killer, lots to do today. Hmm..wonder if Santa brought me a new back?

42. Wretched cat woke me up again.
He got hurt in another fight just the night before last. Now he's whining to get out but no dice. I had to take him in for stitches Thanksgiving day. For that episode: $500 big ones, 3 trips to the vet, and 10 days with him having a lampshade on his head. Trust me, there was no joy here for those 10 days.

Don't think he'll need stitches for this one but he's not going out. I've been giving him antibiotics left over from last time.

Think I'll hit the hay. Better close the bedroom door so he can't wake me up again.

47. My cat gets me up at 4:30 every morning
He's spoiled. He's old. He's senile. He wants me up at 4:30. It's not even that he wants breakfast, he just wants me to get up.

But I've done a load of wash, tonight's shrimp is steamed, and I've got two pies in the oven, so my morning has been productive so far.
