Did everybody get through Christmas OK? |
|
I know it's only 23:30 in PST but I'm assuming you can make it through a 1/2 hour in one piece.

We had BAAAAAAAAD Santa Ana winds last night. Several trees in the neighborhood were lost. And I was up all night, paranoid about fires.

Well, I can only speak for myself...
And I got through Christmas really well...
We had the family in yesterday, and we all had a very good time!
Today it was just me and my husband, and we had a quiet, lovely day...
I'm ready to have the real world resume!
:hi:
I hope your Christmas was a good one as well...

Gave my step-son a guitar lesson and fixed my daughter's wireless.
A nice quiet day.

:hi: :) My husband was/is sick, though, and he had to stay home. (He's got the upper respiratory crap I had two weeks ago.) I went to my sister's house about an hour away, and my mother, her husband, my brother, sister and BIL, and their two kids were there. We actually had a nice visit----no Festivus poles, no airing of grievances or feats of strength. :P I got there about 10:30 AM and left at 3 PM, which was just enough time for everyone to behave.
When I got home, my husband and I opened our gifts since he was not feeling up to it before I left. OUr dogs had a blast opening their presents too. Our dog Casey pawed everything that smelled like a toy or treats, and she was exactly right. They loved helping me rip open the paper and find goodies inside! :P :D

Well, let me see. My mother's health continues its slow slide toward oblivion, my sister is still married to an obnoxious dipshit, my family doesn't appreciate the sacrifices I've made to keep it semi-functional and I'm feeling depressed again. So...no?

I was sick and incapacitated for most of the day and unable to go to the parties we were invited to. Also the first Christmas since my mother's passing
