There are two of us here at work in IT/Telecom

so I stopped by the other guy's office to say hi, find out how he's doing. He said to me, "Thom, come and take a walk with me. Let me buy you a coffee."

He's someone I know but rarely talk to. Our jobs don't overlap. You find out that some people are really very nice and social if you stop by. :)

5. I don't know about that.

He transferred down from the "Creative" department (we're an Ad agency) and he's got this "cool kid" attitude when there are people around. I don't know that he'll be that social when everyone else is here.

But it's nice to know that he's very nice and social when the group dynamics break down. :)

6. The office is shut down this week.

We're the skeleton crew. Normally there are about 100 of us, and the IT department breaks down into pretty rigid cliques.

I cross a lot of the lines, but there are some groups I don't penetrate. :P
