Had to run a "recovery" disk on my laptop today. |
|
We have two laptops, and both went down in the last couple of weeks. Today I had to run a recovery disk on one of them. The point is what is a good free anti-virus, and firewall?

Not a fan of Zone Alarm due to dubious ownership practices.

Bought both at Fry's and we are so tired of their bullshit.

7. A silly question, but what brand, model printer do all you with computer problems have? |
|
Cuz I know 5 people who all had computer problems, had to do recovery, all within a space of a couple weeks and ALL with the same printer. :wtf:
Was wondering (in my wee tiny, non-techie brain) if there was some sort of MS update/patch that made for a bad relationship with that particular printer. When we disconnected and deleted the printer, then did the recovery, the problems seem to have stopped. Prior to pulling the printer off, we had to keep doing the recovery over and over every few days.
Is it possible some update clashed with some printers?

9. We have a couple of printers both have been off line recently |
|
We are moving our office and have not used the printers. One is a HP and is a Epson. Both are clogging up my garage right now so I don't have the model numbers handy.
