I only bought a video game player so I'd have something the kids enjoyed doing at my house ...

And I accepted the free surround sound system/DVD player from my daughter to make her happy.

OK, so I didn't have a clue how to hook it all up.

But today I got a switch and cables. I played around with them until they all worked. Now I can watch TV on regular audio or surround sound OR play a game (also on surround) OR watch a movie (YEP! It's hooked up to the surround!), all without switching audio/video cables on the back of the TV ... and it's TOTALLY COOL!!!!! OK, so it's old hat to you young'uns. It's a miracle to me!

Guess I'll watch a movie and then play a game before I go to bed. Did my kids do this to keep me from being an old fogie? I dunno ... :shrug: My mom thinks I've gone mad. :rofl:

Hmmm ... we have Ty2, Ty3, Crash Bandicoot (3, I think), Cars, Champions of Norath, Ratchet 2 and 3 and the Sonic collection. I got them all second-hand for pretty cheap. :D

I WAS a techy type person in a previous life, but don't have a clue about hooking up TV and sound equipment. So I just plugged and unplugged stuff until I got the right combinations. Sounds great now! What time will you be arriving?
