My friend is absent.

It hasn't been long, less than a day. I am a fretter - I hope it's nothing, but I am worried.

1. Oh no!

I'm sure there's nothing to worry about ... but I know what it's like to be a fretter.

4. Hey, SF!
:hi: :loveya:

I haven't been around much. Just trying to chill a little today ... too much excitement and too much to do over the holidays. Good to see you!

5. My holiday break
has been pretty low key, which is just the way I like it. Visit friends, and chill out at home.

Oh, I read about your red dye incident. Strange . . .

6. That sounds like a great holiday break!
:bounce: I guess everyone will be on their normal schedules by the end of this week.

The red dye incident ... aaaarrrggghhh! I can't get replacement sheets for that bed. It's all a set that was discontinued several years ago. Guess I'll try some bleach next. I don't have time to mess with it anymore this week, though. Oh well. Shit happens.

8. LOL - need some more advice?
I had wine stains on my nice Iron Chef apron. Didn't wash it for several days. Soaked the stained part in hydrogen peroxide. Turned out great. But then again, that section was all white.

Maybe just dye the sheets red!

Gotta go. TTYL!

Remove Red Dye Stains From:
Acrylic Fabric, Cotton, Linen, Modacrylic,
Nylon, Olefin, Polyester, Spandex

Soak the item in a solution of 1 quart warm water, 1/2 teaspoon liquid dishwashing or laundry detergent, and 1 tablespoon ammonia for 30 minutes. Rinse well. If stain persists, soak in a solution of 1 quart warm water and 1 tablespoon white vinegar for 1 hour. Use white vinegar with care on cotton and linen. Rinse well with water and allow to dry. If stain is set, try applying rubbing alcohol to the area and tamping (the method of bringing a brush down with light strokes on stained durable fabrics and materials). As stain loosens, blot liquid and stain with absorbent pad. Keep both the stain and pad moist with alcohol and change pad as it picks up stain. Allow to dry. As a last resort for any remaining traces of stain, mix Rit Color Remover according, to package direction and apply to stain. After testing on a hidden place, flush the solution through the stain. Rinse well with clear water and allow to dry thoroughly

11. Great advice!
Thanks! :bounce:

As it was, I did the last resort solution first ... Rit Color Remover. It worked somewhat, but left some on it. Time to work backwards and try the other things. :hi:

I am a fretter, too.

I'm sure you will hear from your friend, soon.

9. Awwww.... you're a good friend
I've probably put my friends through hell - I have a tendency to wander out the door and not be seen for a month or two because I've stuck out my thumb and ended up 3000 miles away. :P

I hope you hear from your friend soon.

12. I suck
I'm sorry.

I was down yesterday. Everyone has been home since last Friday and I'm getting claustrophobic. Other than that, I'm ok.

Thanks for caring.
