When cooking in an oven, is steam supposed to leak out of the front? |
|
and drip down the front?
I never use my oven any more because it drips something awful and the landlord keeps saying there's no problem...

1. Sounds like a seal may be gone around the door |
|
Are you cooking something with a lot of water in it?

4. Sounds like you have a leaky door gasket. |
|
Not really that difficult to fix. Tell your landlord that it is a leaky door gasket, and that he does need to fix it, because in addition to steam escaping your oven, so is a significant portion of the heat - and it is affecting your ability to cook (I know you do not use it much, but he does not know that).
I would not be able to function if my oven were doing that.
