1. It's 12 here in Dayton, Ohio
I have to go up to Cleveland tonight and unload a truck outside. The cold weather doesn't bother me so much as the snow. I hate driving in that shit.

It dipped down into the high 60s here in SoCal today. I nearly had to put on long pants. Brrrrrrr.

7. I yelled at my mother earlier about that
she was saying how cold it was in Pasadena, and it was 57 and I laughed at her. Told her she'd never be able to stand a New England winter again. I looked at my old town of West Covina, and it was almost 58, and I was thinking I could practically sunbathe at that temperature.

My sister in law and brother are in Vegas, and it was 51 there, and my SIL was complaining about how cold it was, too. Geez!

8. It's amazing how quickly you adjust.
I've only lived in SoCal for two years. Before that I spent 20 years in the UK. I always considered Britain to have a mild climate, but when I went back this Christmas to visit the family, I thought I was going to die. It felt so cold all the time, even though the temperature was in the range I would formerly have found reasonably comfortable.

I think my blood must have thinned to the consistency of water.

16. It's 7 now--just checked
I've decided to "retire" for the night to a much warmer bedroom with twelve blankets, sweatclothes and two pairs of socks on. (Not really 12 blankets, but sweatclothes and socks, yes. ;))

Good night, everyone, and stay WARM!!!

Little dog basically refused to go outside, even with the coat on, and once I managed to get her out there, she walked on her two front feet until she did her business and I let her back in.
