Full-On nasty winter storm butteting everything from California to Washington St
and inland up into the Sierra's - 10'+ snow fall http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=95814 downed poles, trees, several big rigs tipped over, wind howling from what seems every direction, Interstate 5 shutting down near here, flights delayed or pulled off due to high wind shears, it is a mess! Just in: big rig tipped at precarious angle word is it will go over too, shutting down roads all round servicing area

1. Things are fine in Eugene..
Expect that to change in about 10 minutes. I will be riding my bike to get lunch in about ten minutes. And we all know how things work out.

10. The tarp that covers my leaky RV just got ripped off by the wind.
Now I get to go get a 28' x 10' tarp to stay still long enough to tie it down. I hate ladders too.

An hour ago it was calm and sunny.

20. dang! there was a little Piper out at the airport that wasn't tied down, wind caught it...
and flipped into a ditch maybe some 30' away :(

6. It has been shitty weather here all week,
but we're not likely to see as bad a storm as the California and coastal folks, though an 80 mile stretch of I-84 in the Columbia Gorge has been closed due to high winds and low visibility.

I'm glad we had that tree cut down last summer.

13. News had some folks out of Davis come out from back in Donner Pass with Telemark...
and snow equipment on sleds, said they went in to build a snow fort :wow: you gotta hand it to the stalwart :thumbsup:

Tree just pushed over onto the building next door


Dozens of felled trees round midtown



And this is one state worker that's going to be hating this when they get off work, right in front of our place :(
