Todays' daily observation: Cream depilatories work better |

than shaving for smooth legs.
I'm in love with my smooooottthhhh legs right now. Best part is the hair gets finer and finer. I won't have to do it as often as shaving. B-)
That is all.

I prefer Surgi-cream when I can find it in the store. Totally painless and mostly odorless and comes with an after care emollient that's fabulous. Amazon has it, so I might have to order it online.
In the store, I like Veet. It does work, but only after I've shaved pretty closely first (finer hair.) They make a spray on that works for me too. I like that delivery method for obvious reasons. And for the *ahem* bikini area, I use a Sally Hansen cream.

It's such a small area to shave. I suppose I could. :-)
I don't know what's better cost wise over the long haul, buying the creams or keeping myself supplied in razors.

5. when I had radiation treatment, my underarms were in the field of treatment |
|
I temporarily lost the hair there. It was rather nice not to have to shave there.

my sister said was a nice side benefit of chemo, no hair... anywhere. :-)
She was even surprised her eyebrows and eyelashes fell out. :-0

7. It was a good side benefit |
|
Certainly not a good enough benefit for having to go through all of that.

10. for those of us with coarser hair (dudes, that is)... |
|
i always burn myself with the creams. a face razor is the best way to shave other regions.

13. I have coarse hair too |
|
well, more coarse than a lot of women. That's why the surgi creme works better on me, but I'll use Veet in a pinch, just leave it on longer. It doesn't work in 3 minutes like it says on the tube.

17. Yes, my maternal aunt |
|
had NHL. My aunt had 3 bouts of it over the years. I don't know how she did it. That side of the family is riddled with cancer of various stripes. Meanwhile the surviving sibling is a human smokestack who drinks like a fish. Go figure.
She was very vivacious, brown hair, big doe eyes and always bright orange or bright red lipstick over almost angelina jolie lips always. She was a teen young adult in the 50s. That's how I remember her.
