Ever try to make the bed when you have a cat?
Now where did that screwy cat go this time...

(Lump under the bedspread moves, and a muffled "mow" is heard)

:D

10. Do you like plaid?
I noticed that the bedspread and your shirt (assuming it's you in the photo below) are both plaid.

12. I do I guess
never gave it much thought. I go by feel. Sometimes it sucks 'cause I have to ask people if the shirt I'm wearing is a girl's shirt :P

True story...

3. Yes, my cat's love to help me make the bed
One most especially. He likes to jump on the fitted sheet, as I'm trying to fit it on. Then I'll move him off the bed while I'm trying to put down the flat sheet, and he jumps back on the bed helping me. Once, I had to take him off the bed 5 times just trying to get the flat sheet down! He thinks it's some sort of game. :)

6. The same cat
He's not the brightest bulb. :) Anywho, so he loves to get under blankets. But then like after a minute he starts meowing like he can't figure out where he's at or how to get out! I'm like you dummy, why'd you go under there in the first place!

9. My cat Panda would jump on the bed everytime I made it.
Like clockwork.

After making the bed, there would always be a mysterious lump under the sheets. :-)

13. Ha ha. My littlest kitty did that once in a hotel room.

I had to take her with me when I traveled, to give her some medicine and to keep her away from the other kitties while she healed from an injury. She found an opening in the fabric on the underside of the box spring, and crawled in. When I got back and was getting ready to check out, I literally tore that room apart looking for her. Still couldn't find her. Thought maybe she escaped into the hallway somehow, and wandered into another open room while housekeeping was going through them. Went looking through all the other rooms for her. No dice. Checked outside and walked all around the building calling for her. Nothing. It took several hours but eventually I did discover where she was, and coaxed her out. I can laugh about it now, but it was a nightmare at the time. What was I going to do, catch my flight and leave my sweet little injured kitty behind in a strange town? Not!

14. admit it, DA
did she "find" an opening or "create" one LOLOL

when I took that picture, I had just moved and had hysterically searched my apartment for the cat - it was my bf who advised me over the phone to "check for lumps under the bed". OMG I could not believe it.

Sad update - I've been in my apartment since Dec 10 and a couple nights ago that cat, Riff Raff, got out. I've been hysterically looking for him but have had not one sighting yet. I'm very upset about it. Taking some time off work to do more thorough searches - my hope is that he is hiding in the bushes somewhere. Riff Raff was feral when I trapped him and he has always pretty much stayed feral. :(

15. OMG, I am so sorry about Riff Raff missing!

It is hell to go through that. I had a kitty go missing for the better part of two days a few years ago, and was sick with worry the entire time. You are a wonderful kitty mom, taking time off of work to search for him (realizing it's not really a choice; I would do the same). I wish I live closer, I would help you look. :(

I'm sending all my best and strongest vibes for Riff Raff to find his way back to you. Please keep us updated!

16. I am terribly distraught, not sleeping
I couldn't even bring myself to post on it. Riff Raff - well, if ever there was a strange cat. He was so wily I had to use a feral trap to catch him two years ago so even if I spot him it will be hell trying to get him back. He has always been so much trouble but I miss him terribly.

18. Oh dear, I am so sorry.

I probably won't be able to offer any suggestions that you haven't thought of yet. Just I guess make sure that there is enough stuff with his/your scent on it near the door of the new place to keep him nearby. And give a heads up to all the local shelters. =sigh= But yeah, you knew all that already.

At least the feral trap worked once, so the odds of it working again are in our favor. There's that.

*crossing fingers* Come home, Riff Raff!

Hang in there, you.

17. Ever try to change guitar strings when you have a cat?
Everything that moves is fair game.

Fortunately, my cat (Domino) is sometimes more infatuated with snuggling inside my cushy guitar case. When she decides to sleep there, I let her stay the night.

19. Gosh I have just about given up on that with my two cats
There is nothing in life one of them in particular loves more than burrowing under the covers (blankets sheets, sometimes the fitted sheet while I am trying to make the bed) and not just sitting but then moving all over the place, pushing the covers around. Then she likes to push her head up agaisnt the top of the blanket and go "mow" and headbutt me! Not sure if my kitty thinks she is a mole of some sort:D

20. If The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger is resting on the bed, not only do I not make it,
I am compelled by my training to sprawl out beside him and give him all the belly rubs and head scritches he wants. Cuz that's the way we roll are trained at Casa Ginger. :7

22. Just go in the kitchen and rattle the can opener
it's amazing how that lump-in-the-bed will disapparate, and reappear as a furry thing at your feet.
