I have a movie on vhs that is not available on dvd.....however I would like to have it on dvd format before the way of the vcr is long gone.....how can I do this?

I put a bunch of home movies on DVD this way (just connect the cables between the VCR & DVD recorder), but when I tried to put a commercial VHS on DVD it wouldn't work because of copyright protection on the VHS. I don't know when they started doing that.

then ran an antenna cable from the VCR output to the Antenna input on the card.
After capturing on my computer's hard drive, I recorded that to a dvd.
It worked pretty well.
edit: this was supposed to be a response to the OP. oh, well.
