Disney World bans young kids from fanciest restaurant

ORLANDO, Florida (AP) -- The home of Mickey Mouse, Tigger and Tinkerbell has banned kids from its fanciest restaurant.

Beginning this week, children under 10 are no longer welcome at Victoria & Albert's in the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Victoria & Albert's is Walt Disney World's only restaurant with an AAA five-diamond rating.

"We want to be the restaurant that's available for that adult experience," said general manager Israel Perez.

Only about three families a month ever brought young children to Victoria & Albert's, said Rosemary Rose, Disney's vice president for food, beverage and merchandise operations. (more at link)

Come on. Have at it. :evilgrin: :popcorn:

1. Yeah, we've had a couple threads on that so far, and no flamewars.
Most people think it's a good idea and perfectly fine.

I wish they'd ban kids from Disney World entirely, or at least have kid-free days for just the adults.

:P

2. Maybe they can just ban all people from Disney and close the place down and bulldoze it
Okay, so maybe I'm not a big fan of the "happiest (sprawl-trap) on earth."

3. They say it's not a problem...
"Only about three families a month ever brought young children to Victoria & Albert's," said Rosemary Rose, Disney's vice president for food, beverage and merchandise operations.

So why the policy change if there's no problem in the first place.

Anyway, Disney can masticate where I masturbate, for all I care.

4. They should have a shed where they drop'em off at or better yet....
make'em wear leashes and have'em tie the kids to fence post outside the restaurant. In the shed have people beat or tase them to take their mind off of being abandoned by their parents.
:evilgrin::sarcasm:
