So, if Bloomberg runs as independant - does he hurt republicans or democrats? |
|
That is, will he take more Democratic leaning people's votes, or more Republican leaning people's votes?
I imagine he's a little more less liked by Democrats than by Republicans, and so if he enters the fray, he might split the repukes more than us.
That could be a Very Good Thing.

2. He could steal the independants. Those should go to the Democrats this election cycle. It would |
|
be very bad for us. Repukes are going to tank anyhoo. So it will not affect how the Republicans do.

4. Broder types will vote for him, otherwise, they'd probably vote for McCain |
|
No way in heck most of them switch from Hillary/Obama to Bloomberg.
Even Lieberman, not barely a Democrat anyway, wasn't voting for Dems this year anyway...in his case, he might go with a Bloomberg, but he was going for McCain previously.
It also may mean the winning percentage necessary is 40% which I think one Democrat stands a good chance of getting, while a Republican and Bloomberg might have more trouble as Bush 41 and Perot did.
