1. They are page turners, aren't they
and no, I am not a literary snob.

I enjoyed the Harry Potter series, I enjoyed LOTR, and I also enjoyed "The DaVinci Code".

Sometimes I don't want to think a lot and just want to be entertained. But you can pry my Liberal card out of my cold, dead hands.

and i've watched the first 3 movies, with the 4th on tap for tonight.

i picked up the first one thinking, "let's see what all the fuss is about." now i need it like heroin.

4. She owns me.
I've just started the Potter series again. I have to say, it's a better read the 2nd time around.

7. He probably had something to do with it.
However, since I finished reading the final book a few months ago, everything else I read was lacking.

10. For some reason I only managed to get my hands on the 5th book.
So I still need to get my own copy of 1-4 and 6 and 7. :) Thankfully since I just moved, I have copies of all seven here. And since I just finished the book I was reading, I'm thinking I'm gonna pull 'em out tonight before I go to bed.

11. I'm 1/2 way through the 2nd one.
Rowling takes it to another level there.

12. I tried to avoid making predictions early on...
but with the whole 'root for the underdog' current in those books I did guess right around books 2 and 3 that 1) Ginny was gonna end up getting Harry in the end, and 2) Neville was gonna end up kicking some serious ass at some point.

And god damned if I wasn't right. :)
