given that i don't have a teenager or pre-teen in my house . . . |
|
so my take on this may be somewhat *skewed* . . .
just WHAT is the fascination for Hannah Montana? i don't get it.

1. She's on TV. TV captures kids' attention. That's about it. :) |

At least as far as I can tell. The only pre-teen I know is my neice, and my brother doesn't have cable at his house, so she doesn't really know or care about her. Several of her friends do though, and the only thing those friends have in common is that they all get the Disney channel at their house.

2. My 11yo and all her friends LOVE Hannah Montana. |

The show itself is pretty harmless, young girl leads a double life as a rock star and a student in her public school.
I think the fantasy aspect is why it's so huge. So many kids dream of being rock stars or famous.
