What to do with a feral 3-legged cat that appeared on my porch a few days ago |
|
I fed it. I suppose it will never go away now. I can't get close enough to it to figure out if the leg was traumatically amputated or just missing from birth. But I will tell you one thing...that cat can run!

See if you can trap/catch it and take it to the vet to get fixed.

4. I was thinking along those lines for a name |
|
But I don't want another cat, lol, and I can feed it and provide it's basic needs without naming it and it doesn't belong to me (that is how I am rationalizing). I bet I can put the food inside of a crate after I have fed it a few days. Thanks for the suggestion.

16. Best answer in the thread. |
|
See if there's a low cost spay/neuter program in your area that will help provide a trap. If you leave food out, kitty will be fine.
Good looking out for Lucky.

25. It might be more pleasing to the eye but the litter box would be a problem. |
|
On the other hand, you could probably push him around with a stick to clean up small spills or dust the floor. So there's somewhat of a balance.

William Gibson and others have coined the verb "skin" to mean to place a skin (virtual or otherwise) on a surface.
Hence in the graphics world to "skin a cat" is to place fur on it, not remove it.
