Songs that sound the same. |
|
You know, you hear a song and you're like hey "that reminds of ______" Then you go and listen to "_____" and you're like "OMG! It's the same song!" but like, it's not really the same song, because it's by another band and stuff. You know, right? :silly: Group One: My Sharona: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNgvG2Ll9rASimply Irresistible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3geoXOdnJQThe Take Over The Breaks Over http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJIbKU23OewGroup two: Golden Touch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdA5IcjWcIsThe Coldest Heart: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWQiIm8vOawOr am I insane?

|
http://youtube.com/watch?v=D4IjT0VsLXgThe whole video is great, but "Gloria" begins at around 2:30 http://youtube.com/watch?v=lNEkT3CbCR8This is not Aretha Franklin's video, in case you couldn't tell. But it's her music.

|
When a greedy pig named Saul Zaentz actually had the nerve to sue John Fogerty for "plagiarizing" HIMSELF. Run Through The Jungle (WARNING - video taken from "Platoon" so it ain't pretty) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y4SNucf12UOld Man Down The Road http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmLlqiUVDroFortunately, John Fogerty won the case, by bringing his guitar to the trial and playing both songs on the witness stand.

60. 95% of the commercial rap and 75% of modern rock |
|
They practiacally all sound the same. The performers are probably told to stick to the same formula.
Rap formula: predatory, explicit sex (porn rap), strip clubs, drug dealing, getting rich, whining about going to prison after getting caught dealing drugs, commtting crime, and/or packing heat.
Rock formula: my girl did me wrong, relationships, anxiety in general.
R&B formula: relationships that break taboos, sex as explicit as the radio will allow, the butchered remakes of soft rock and classic R&B, etc.
Give me soft rock, progressive rock, and underground hip-hop over that radio crap any day of the week.
