Any fans of classical guitar playing?

I could listen to this guy's stuff all night. I've found a lot of technically proficient guitarists on youtube but 99% of them were "show off-y" noodling types but I feel like this guy has a lot of soul in his playing. I'd give my right arm to play like this :P

1. I keep my classical music to my violin and my rock music to my guitar. :)
But that's just me.

2. See I love the guitar...
simply because you can rock out or play the classics and if done right it will sound awesome either way

3. To be really interesting...
you could play a classical guitar piece... with heavy wah pedal or distortion... :P

5. I think if you listen to some of Bach's work
you will find that he is the father of heavy metal music. Some of his fugues could easily be turned into metal. If only we had electricity back then who knows what could have happened... :)

7. That is why god invented the electric violin...
and just by coincidence I decided that after a long-stressful day today I'd treat myself to something nifty...

so I stopped at the guitar store to buy myself a pickup for my acoustic guitar. And promptly discovered that they had one kind that will stick onto the instrument rather than sit in the soundhole... so it will work just fine on my violin. :)

I gave it a quick test run once I got home and I now have the ability to hook my violin up to an amp. Frikkin' awesome. :)

you play it backwards and you hear satanic messages...I think it is written somewhere in the "Metal Handbook" :P

23. Have you ever heard Rik Emmett of Triumph play acoustic guitar?
He doesn't play classical guitar that I know of, but he does play classically.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDfcdQpmUAs

I'm in awe of Emmett because he could "Tear the Roof Off," then turn around and passionately lull you with "Midsummer's Daydream" or "Fingertalkin'" or "A Minor Prelude" or "Suitcase Blues."

28. In that vid, he is basically playing a classical guitar
It appears to me that those are nylon strings on an acoustic/electric guitar. I would say that he has had classical training.

for everything a guitar can be.

Wish I could find a video of "Fingertalkin'." His technique on that is amazing.

But back in my heavy metal days, I loved listening to Segovia. He could "shred" better than any of the metal wankers that were hot back then.
