Would the phrase "Fuck You" be considered an oxymoron? |
|
You know when I say it ... It is the exact opposite of what I want to do with the person to which I have just said it. What does it mean when you say it? I bet a lot of you have never said it. I aspire to be like that one day...maybe.

An oxymoron is when two things within a phrase don't go together, as in "deafening silence."
What you're talking about isn't an oxymoron. "Fuck" and "you" are not mutually exclusive.

;)
I knew there was something off. The terminology is mutually exclusive from the intention...would this be considered an extrapolation of phrasing? :D

4. I've never understood why it's used as a curse instead of as a blessing. |
