My cats seem to know when I'm not feeling well, too. Sometimes, it seems, before I even realize it myself!

sounds like normal kitty activity, but since we got the new kitty, they seem more devilish.

8. I once injured my back and could hardly move for 3 days, and my cat sat beside me, |
|
just watching me, for 90% of the time. It was amazing. She was just sitting there looking at me. By the way your cat is beautiful.

14. My cat is all black and looked just like yours when he was young. The biting |
|
and scratching was a big problem when he was young, but now that he's 7 it has diminished somewhat - but if you try to scratch his belly he will instinctively grab your hand with his claws extended. I think it's mainly a matter of training him over a very long period. If he bites or scratches, a loud NO! and end the play/love session immediately. Eventually it will sink in. It takes years to really retrain him, but the biting may still happen occasionally for his whole life. It seems to become less of a problem as he gets older.

17. When I got home from surgery a couple years ago, |
|
I had to sleep on the couch in a very uncomfortable position. My cats had missed me and wanted to get to me.
My aunt, who uses one of those mobility scooters, stayed up the entire first night trying to keep the cats from getting to me because she thought they would jump and crawl all over me.
(All Three, sorry, couldn't resist) tried all night long to get to me too. She did not sleep all night. I was in and out from the medication and I remember hearing her telling them to stay back pretty much all night long.
When my aunt finally did fall asleep, and I finally fell asleep, all three of my cats got on the couch with me and just slept beside me.
They didn't crawl on me and they didn't fight. That was unprecedented. See, Sunday Girl is 10 years older than the other two and not related to them. Normally, all they have to do is walk within 5 feet of her and she growls and hisses at them. That night and the nights until I got better, though, they all got along and cuddled with me and didn't hurt me at all. I was such a proud "momma kitty" during that time.

20. Was he purring? He might have been trying to heal you. |
|
Some biologists think the purr's frequencies stimulate healing and bone growth, and that that's why cats purr. http://www.geocities.com/missionstmichael/Purring.htmlSome people (including me) have also noticed that a cat will lie on or near a part of you that's injured and purr. Interesting...

My kitties love to take naps with me. If I get in bed during the day, it's like "Wooo--nap party time!" It's the cutest thing. :-)

30. My kitty Tisha used to do that with my Mom |
|
She'd stay with her the whole time I was at work, then when I got home she'd go sleep somewhere else. She thought it was her job to take care of Mom while I was gone.
