9. My step-dad was a champion boxer in the Navy...
was told he had potential and trained in earnest. I forgot the name of the trainer but dad said that he trained Joe Louis for a while-even had a picture with the trainer. He did well, but decided not to go into it as a career. Wait,is that 4 degrees-never mind. I missed Walter Koenig-but if you have met any of the other trek original cast, we are 3 degrees.

Anyway, the boxing stories were great and he had never told me those before.

10. Well, that anecdote sort of dribbled off the plate, didn't it?

12. LOL.....
about like Bush's manhood-but that's another story.

No, I had never heard him tell those stories and when he said Joe Louis's trainer-my ears perked up knowing that I could be one step closer to Scorpioness:spray: The stories of his time in the Navy were very impressive and I knew he boxed-but not at THAT level. I saw the news clippings, pictures of the trophies, and he even had a few of him in the ring. He is in his late 70's and jeez I wish I could be in as good a shape as he is now. He is a senior citizen you wouldn't want to cross, he could give one a serious ass kicking.

5. Watched "The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming" on Friday
Another '60s movie. Hadn't seen it in years, and enjoyed the hell out of it.

11. "Key Largo," the ultimate "struggle of good against evil" movie.

It's my favorite Bogart film, amazingly shot in classic black & white, and Edward G. Robinson is the perfect unapologetic gangster who wallows in his corruption like a happy pig in slop.

This movie is amazing on so many levels that I might have to boycott your threads until you publicly acknowledge the fact that you've watched it.
