I'm working on a Powerpoint presentation on verb tenses!
Whatever you're doing, it can't be half as much fun.

So what are you doing? Or what did you do? Or what will you be doing? Or what have you been doing? Or what had you been doing? Or what will you have been doing after the night is over?

:woohoo:

1. You use powerpoint for teaching students?
Oy I thought only us corporate schmucks had to deal with that. Not looking forward to my time in the near future where I have to do one for my department.
But don't let me stop you, I think I will go scoop the cat box now...that might be slightly more entertaining than what you are doing....

4. I try to have a sense of humor about it.
Yesterday I had one on subject/verb agreement, and most of my example sentences either had to do with giant ducks trampling people or with the endlessness of Powerpoint presentations. Common question from students: "Mr. Finnfan, what is your obsession with giant ducks?"

I don't actually do that many Powerpoints, but I think it works pretty well for grammar lessons.

In your honor, perhaps I'll make some example sentences about how vaccinations caused the duck to grow to enormous sizes....:D

10. Good! Sad to say, a nephew's girlfriend we met last year was going to...
a community college to be an 'English' teacher, so I asked her the 23 helping verbs. She had no clue what I was talking about. "We haven't gotten to that yet." ARGGGGHHHHH.

With wife as our family grammarian, both kids aced the English and reading parts of the ACT. Yippee for the old ways of doing things!
