The dog was frightened by the big wind storm we had last night.
She crawled into bed with me about 4am & tried to bury herself in my armpit.

55lbs of dog won't fit in my armpit.

1. Awww...hope she calmed down!
That WAS one hell of a wind/rainstorm last night. Looked out the window at its height and I thought that this was what a hurricane must look like.

I can understand why she was upset.

2. She loves & trusts you.
Daddy wouldn't let anything happen to her.

My guys were getting a bit antsy last night, I had four dogs on the bed with me! Luckily the other two can't climb up or it would have been six!

BTW- She looks like such a sweet dog.

3. You have a sweet looking girl, she has doe eyes like our dog, Sally.
Sally is very disturbed by wind, too. It seems to bother her more when she's indoors, where she'll station herself near our legs, under the computer table or on the bed, wherever legs are found.

10. I knew we had had some weather last night
because this morning our Siberian Husky, who normally would have been hugging the back door for the cold, was in our bedroom. The 2 whippets were in bed with us, but they would have been anyway so you can't prove anything by them. However, the senior greyhound decided to sleep in the chair at the bottom of our bed instead of on the bed in the guest room which he is particularly fond of. The junior greyhound however jumped at the chance to sleep in the guest bed and was doubly happy because my 5 year old daughter decided she had had a bad dream and needed to sleep with a dog to feel safe (sniff - mommy is no longer the go-to person to make bad dreams better it seems, it's the greyhound bitch).
