I'm going to another movie tonight.
We don't have dog class tonight, because the hall we use is a polling place, and the machines are being set up tonight. So, I have another free evening. Two in a row--that never happens! And there are two movies I want to see at the theater a block from my house. Tonight's feature: "No Country for Old Men".

Two free nights in a row. Pretty damn nice.

1. Typical of an Edwards supporter - take two nights off when there's work to be done.

I have two girlfriends who are ministers. They are pretty much run ragged. They like what they do very much though. Enjoy the flick!

Edited to add: Don't hog the popcorn, oh wait, go right ahead!

5. Cool. What denomination are they?
Even though it's my day off, I still had one meeting to attend. I'm on the board of the local Character Counts org, and they meet on Mondays. I go in my sweatshirt and blue jeans, and they're cool. I almost NEVER have a free evening!!

9. United Church of Christ? That's what I am.
So is Rabrrrrr. So is Barack Obama. Which tells you nothing, because the three of us have absolutely nothing else in common (except we're Dems).

Church World Service is a great org. They do impressive work.

12. Church World Service. Duh. I am wackbards today!
I haven't talked to her in a few months, but I know she loves her work. I think our little community was a bit claustrophobic for her. It's hard yes? Keeping your own stuff separate from your "flock", I mean.

14. What do you mean we have nothing in common?
We all grew up with fundamentalist radical Islamic parents who taught us to hate America, we're all members of churches that hate white people, and we all run our computers on whale oil and liberal self-loathing.

Pffft.

Actually, Obama and I share Hawaii roots. :P

13. Must see Jumper next week
Can't wait.

I thought Cloverfield was going to be fun, but all of the reports I read about people having problems with vertigo (camera movement) and being blind in one eye (I can get vertigo just looking down an escelator) makes me want to wait till it hits DVD.

16. That last Bourne movie did that for me.
I sat through half the film wondering what I had eaten that so disagreed with me. Then I realized I only felt that way during action sequences. Not a good time at the movies for me.
