I worked at a Boston hospital for a few years and one day the path lab sent an amputated leg to a lab for analysis but dispatch left it in the corner of an elevator and it rode up and down for several hours til someone located it. That was hilarious...to us...probably not the owner.

If you can't switch jobs completely, any chance you could transfer elsewhere within the company? I wouldn't want to assume too much here, but from my own experience, if I had those three factors going on in the workplace, I'd guess it would only be a matter of time before somebody would have to leave (unfortunately it ended up being me in this case)

I have the obsessive-paranoid landlord too, but fortunately mine is one of those "snowbirds" so he doesn't bother me much in the winter as long as the rent gets in his bank account.

As for Comcast, nobody escapes those criminals, unfortunately. They have been overbilling me by a month for three years, and refuse to remove the spurious charges, even though they can't produce any evidence that I ever missed a month. Since Comcast is a pseudo-monopoly nearly everywhere they exist, they take on the attitude of "we're right, you're wrong and whattya gonna do about it, go with crappy ass DSL?"

Couldn't tell you what my blood pressure is though... I keep forgetting to pick up the AAA batteries for my BP monitor :(
