BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) - A 13-foot-long python that had been slithering past customers outside a Bradenton Wal-Mart for the past two weeks has finally been caught.

Customers reported seeing the snake moving across the parking lot, and one man said he thought he ran over it with his car.

A wildlife specialist caught the python Monday in a nearby culvert. Justin Matthews of Matthews Wildlife Rescue says the snake likely stayed close to the super store building because it wanted to keep warm.

Matthews says he's going to use the female python in presentations to teach people about the dangers of having snakes as pets.
