1br 1 ba Royal Feline Suite [dialup warning]
One attraction of the new house for us was the upstairs apartment, which according to ancient tradition has become the cattery. There's a full bathroom for the litter boxes and hog-sloppin' time--one of the cat beds mysteriously appeared in the shower almost as soon as we moved in. I'd been wanting some pictures of the place, and Vacuuming Day is as good a time as any. I'm abiding by the DU terms of service by posting kitty pictures only on days ending in "y."

His Imperial Majesty, Chester I (may the heavens rain odours on Him!) was not pleased at the interruption of His repose by the noisy cat-eating machine, yet graciously permitted photography of the Royal Tower:

Convenient to recreation, spacious and well illuminated by skylight and floor-level window (commanding views of the front yard!):

No offending doors impede access to the Royal Privies. Closet doors open easily when batted a few times with a paw, allowing easy access to cat food. Live-in staff also provide scheduled meals, combing and salmon treats:

I might as well offer up the requisite portraits of Chester's roommates, who vanished downstairs when I fired up the vacuum cleaner. Madeleine and Rosie really dig the sunshine and the lake view in the kitchen:

Delilah*, meanwhile, commandeered Daddy's DUing chair for a leisurely bath:

*Her name was Angel, but after adopting her as a kitten, we knew we had to change it. She is the Bandit Kitty, who prowls wearing a mask and cape.

1. That's a great cat room.
Wish I had a special room for my guys. As it is, they let me occupy all of their rooms.

3. Absolutely awesome!
I'm afraid you've probably turned the Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat against us, however. We thought he had it _really_ good, until we saw this thread. :P

Thank you for being such wonderful human companions to those lovely kitties!

10. That corner of the house overlooks the lake and the bird feeders,
plus it has western exposure and gets lots of good afternoon sun. Between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m., we generally know where all the cats are!
