She went to the vet at 8:00 a.m. yesterday, and was there until 4:40 today without giving up a urine sample. I went in and talked to her and petted her. She finally ate and peed.
She is a very small cat, only six pounds, but she terrorized the veterinary staff. She spat and hissed and bit everyone. There was blood on her paperwork from where she wounded the vet tech.
They got just enough urine to send a sample to the lab. Tomorrow I will know if her kidneys are all right.
Now that she is home, she is purring, eating and behaving like a gentle lamb.

I know you both feel better. Hope her test turns out OK. I know what it is like to worry about a pet.

We just lost one of ours due to kidney failure. We tried IV electrolytes for a month, to no avail, he continued to lose kidney function. He lived a long, happy life.

I am sorry you lost your kitty.
Mine is either 11 or 12. I hope we can have her for a few more years.
She seems so happy and healthy today that I cannot imagine anything being wrong with her.

I lost a very good fur friend to kidney failure last year & it broke my heart. It is a good sign that she is eating, I hope they find out what is wrong & it isn't anything major.
