Will someone explain this to me? |
|
My personals ad says that if you're married/partnered/taken to not respond.
I still get a response from a married dude (though otherwise I don't get any responses at all...)
Should I respond to him? He's married and I want nothing to do with that situation as I refuse to turn into Jerry Springer fodder... :D

He is obviously of substandard intelligence if he can't read your ad and not worth your time.

Situations like the one you describe for the most part do not end well. With one person single and the other cheating on another, there is a 100% chance somebody's going to get hurt, and it may be you. Best to simply avoid those situations.
Plus I've "known" you on this board for quite some time, and you can do better than some philanderer like that.

Forget him, there's plenty of single dudes for you out there just waiting for a great gal like you.

7. Note, he is NOT loyal now |

How loyal to you will he be? What is the old saying. Leopards do not change their spots, and neither will he and you will just get hurt sooner or later.
I am assuming you want something more than wham, bam thank you Ma’am. If that is all you want you there are plenty of street-corners (and you may even get paid for it).
If you want a permanent relationship you have to work on it (and he does) and requires some honesty on BOTH partners parts. So Far he has been dishonest with his present wife, so why would he be honest with you?
By the way where is that personal ad?

Otherwise, you're looking for trouble and may possibly appear on the networks or the national news as a "Seen On TV Ad."
Otherwise and especially, call your local Phone Company and ISP to make certain the individual can't contact you. Go through other avenues of posting a personal ad and document everything in case the individual turns out to a weird stalker.
The Court System has a way of treating strange individuals like this; from 2-to-Life with the perp concentrating more on the bar of soap hanging around his neck than the peers he's locked up with in the shower.

9. Totally ignore that one! |
|
And be careful with any other responses as well...imo.
I have a girlfriend who met her husband on the Internet at a respectable site (American-Dutch club) her brother found his wife from the Philippines via the Internet, and both relationships are long-term and relatively happy as far as I can see.
I would try to find a site first based on sexual orientation, but then be careful about the content of the site....like what it is based on...hobbies, politics, geographical location etc.
Good luck HypnoToad - someone will be most lucky to match up with you!

13. I don't think HypnoToad is asking whether she should get involved with him |
|
I think she's asking whether she owes him the courtesy of a reply to re-state her "no married men" policy. I don't think she should waste her time, but OTOH it would probably be less effort than it was to post a question here, so what the heck?
