Reuniting with estranged father after 25 Plus Years......ask me anything

My estranged father is flying in next month to visit me after 25 + years of being MIA. I contacted him a few months ago on an impulse. I'm vacillating between joyfulness and uneasiness.

a start and he has been contacting me pretty regularly. I have forgiven him, but it seems he is still allowing his wife to affect our relationship. She doesn't want him to have anything to do with me - she's always been very jealous of me and views me as a threat. Because of this he contacts me on his cell phone when he is away from the house. Weird huh?

you mean in the body of your message. I am trying to keep my expectations in check. I'm planning to treat him like a long lost uncle or someone other than a "father" so I can keep my perspective.
