Why do some of my concert audio DLs play out of sequence? |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-23-08 07:40 PM by darkstar
At least mine. I DL them and they are in correct order in my windows files, but don't play sequentially in Windows Media, my mp3 player, etc. Only a few do this, i.e., I don't have shuffle or random on.
Are there some hidden tags some stoner screwed up along the way? That this stoner can't find?
BTW, it does this even when they are just numbered such as gd_1979_08_26_i_1, gd_1979_08_26_i_2....
Thanks in advance.

1. Where are you downloading them from? |
|
Could it be that the first tracks don't have an initial "0" in front of them? That is, 01, 02, 03, etc., instead of 1, 2, 3? I know of some live music torrent sites that will not allow a torrent if tracks are not numbered in this way.

2. Is that right? Some need that sort of numbering? |
|
I'll check. But I'm pretty sure some of them are just named tracks. Where are their "numbers" assigned if it doesn't show up in the files names w/in the folder itself?
At any rate, thanks. And why am I not surprised that you could help out? Off to check out the numbering thing.

3. kicking b/c I still can't figure it out |
|
bberradini's suggestion didn't seem to do the trick, i.e., unlike my original, they already had 01, 02, etc assignments....
Again, thanks in advance if you have any knowledge to share.
