9 Days and Counting...

I've been sick now for the last 9 days. Finally broke down and went to the Dr. this a.m. He had already prescribed a Z pak for me, which I took last week. This morning when I tried to get up and get ready for work, I couldn't stop vomiting. I've not ate anything substantial for days (the weight loss is nice). He had chest xrays done, because he was afraid I had developed pnemonia, but he determined that I have a flu strain that was not covered by my flu shot. He wanted to check me into the hospital and get an IV for fluids, but I told him I would really rather be in my own home and bed, so he prescribed anti-nausea medication and narcotics and told me to stay home until at least Wednesday. I know I'm probably on the shit list at work. I left early Thursday due to vomiting and haven't been back since. My boss is a recovering alcoholic (16 years)and he and the wife are into herbal remedies. They go to an amish guy who looks into their eyes and tells them what's wrong with them and then they buy his herbs that he concocts. So, he will not be very supportive when I get back and ya know what??? I don't give a rats ass. I feel like hell...

Not all recovering alcoholics are herbalists or naturopaths.

so, I know not all are herbalists or naturopaths. Sorry, I touched a nerve. My boss does not believe in doctors and it stemmed from his alcoholism. That's all I was trying to say.

8. It sounds like it's really been a long haul for you....

did they test you for any bacterial infections? A lot of them present as flu symptoms, and I've never had any luck with Zithromax (I assume that's what you meant by z-pack. In fact, whenever my doctor tried to prescribe it, I tell them I'll just go ahead and set up another appointment for a week later, because it won't work. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.
