I'm so excitied! My shipment of Fail just arrived!!!

So, I went to a Karaoke Bar that has been a local favorite of mine for a while. They started having theme nights a couple weeks ago. I discovered this two weeks ago when they hosted their very first theme night... 80's night. That was a blast. I wasn't prepared because I hadn't been there in God-only-knows how long. But I got the lowdown for the next couple of themes. So tonight I was ready... I had missed the pajama party, much to my everlasting regret... in part due to a lack of pajamas. Tonight though, was going to be Pirate vs Ninja night... kick... ass... I was going to be a Ninja, I figured I was going to be the only one, everybody wants to be a Pirate these days. Well, unfortunately half of my Ninja costume is currently in Tampa... so I had to improvise. A few variations upon the theme later, I decided I just didn't have everything I needed to be a Ninja this week... :cry:

I could however, using what I did have manage a none-too-shabby Pirate outfit. Sure that will get me noticed. Anyway I get there and ... what the hell? ... Everyone is wearing fucking Togas!!! Apparently they pushed back Pirate vs Ninja night, and made the announcement of the change on the night I wasn't there. So now, much to my surprise, I was the only Pirate there tonight. All in all, it was good times... and I did get noticed, which is always fun. I had wanted to get a picture of me surrounded by everyone who showed up in a Toga, so I could be featured in my very own Fail photo. Sadly, before I knew it, the night was almost over and just about everyone in a toga had already left. grrr... or should I say Arrrrhh.. Either way I knew I would be writing about this here in the Lounge as soon as I got home.

Assuming I ever went to bars, which I don't. But if I did, dressing wrong and looking silly would be about my speed. :blush:

Sounds like you handled it well and made the best of it.



Edit: To rebalance the space-time continuum, you're going to have to wear a toga to pirates v. ninjas night.
