20. He did dress in drag.
Garth Algar: Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he put on a dress and played girl bunny?
Wayne Campbell: No

Wayne Campbell: No.
Garth Algar: Neither did I. I was just asking.

Sylvester had some serious issues, maybe being in the closet was getting to him. Living a duplicitous life must be wearing.

Snagglepuss was queer as could be.

And Peppermint Patti - major lesbian. And Marci always called her "Sir". How did he get away with that?

5. Mickey and Minnie weren't happily married
Mickey wanted a divorce and they both went to counseling seeing the counselor one at a time. Mickey went first then Minnie. After the two sessions the counselor told Mickey that Minnie was not crazy. Mickey said I didn't say she was crazy I said she was fucking Goofy. Hey nothing like an oldie but goody joke for Saturday Morning.

Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 11:05 AM by theredpen
1. Robin
Robin, but not Batman, which was very frustrating. This led him to become the much-more-pissed-off Nightwing later and sometimes team up with — wait for it — Flamebird.

2. The Pink Panther
Puh-leez.

3. Velma
She has sensible shoes, would rather hang out with Daphne than Fred (so she's got taste), and is most tolerant of Shaggy and Scooby's alternative relationship.

4. GI Joe
Can you say "overcompensate"? Fighting COBRA constantly keeps Joe so busy you don't have time to ask and he doesn't have time to tell, and that's the way he wants it. During the Reagan/Bush years (at which point, the only female GI Joe action figure ever produced was a nurse in 1967), Joe obsessed over proving his status as a "Real American Hero™." Come out of the closet Joe; gay or straight, you're still a Real American Hero™.

5. Northstar
Since he "came out" in Alpha Flight issue #106 (1992), I'm certain he's gay.

10. Ok I agree
Robin... like nobody ever figured that one out?

Velma... Definite lesbian. Sensible clothes, sensible shoes and, well, Daphne. Although when I was a little kid I had a crush on Fred. How stupid was I?

G.I.Joe .... Well, my GI Joe got up to stuff with Big Jim that are still illegal in 11 states....

Northstar.... Well he said it, so we don't have to guess.

Khash.

Shipwreck, total bear, also likes his sailor uniform, it's kinda obvious.

Wild Bill, had the whole cowboy thing going.

Sgt. Slaughter, total closet case.

Scarlet, femme lesbian.

Cover Girl, the tanker was bisexual.

However, Lady Jaye was NOT a lesbian. Yes, she had the butch look going, but she was banging both Duke and Flint. Was she the type of woman for whom one man is not enough? Yes. A lesbian? Definitley not.

Now let's look at Cobra:

Dr. Mindbener: Bare Chest, monocle, handlebar mustache, opulent cape, Come on...

The Baroness: Bisexual. She had her female playthings as well as her main man Destro.

Those "twins" that worked for Cobra: Yeah, "twins" riiiiiightttt Somone needed to tell those two that closets are for clothes..

And don't get me started on the Dreadnoks.

Of course, you were not meant to "get it" unless you were "in the know."

Sadly, Wimpy went on to become a Senator and was last seen claiming he had a "wide stance." Some people never progress. :(

She's Peter Griffin's daughter from the same series. They did an episode that showed them all in the future where the kids had grown up and Meg had an openly lesbian relationship.

50. Some more anime characters...
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 11:58 PM by JonathanChance
There was that rat villain in Samurai Pizza Cats who was a cross-dresser.

There was those characters in the Japanese language version of Sailor Moonwho were a lesbian couple. (IIRC, the American Version redacted the romantic overtones and rewrote the characters to be close cousins instead of lovers) Their names escape me now because I was never a fan of Sailor Moon.

Kaorin from Azumanga Daioh is a lesbian. In fact, she has a crush on Sakaki, one of the main characters.

I suspect that Ichigo from Bleach may be gay. Come on, he freaked out when there was a hot nude woman in his presence. (I don't want to give too much away just in case any of you out are just starting out watching this series.)

And I've heard quite a few speculations about the sexuality of certain anime characters, especially from my female friends who enjoy writing/reading yaoi (gay) fanfiction.
