Did you have a 5yr high school reunion?
Not real common around here. It's too soon to feel that old.

1. No. We have had reunions at 10-20-25-30-35-40 years.
I went to 20, 25, and 40. The crowd is thinning (and I don't mean weight-wise!). At #40, in June 2006, I thought I had never seen so many fat, old people in my life! I mean really old! One "girl", who once saved my life after a jeep wreck near her house, came up and I called her Mrs. Perkins, thinking she was her own mother!

11. That is funny!
The last one I went to was the 20th and I couldn't read the names on the nametags. I had to stare at people's "chests" to figure out who the hell they were. I knew it was time to give up on reunions.

2. Yeah, it was the only one I went to.
I was only at the school I graduated from for my last 2 years, so it's not like I really knew a lot of people there anyway. I didn't go to my ten year reunion, and I can't see myself going to my 15th next year either.

4. nope
My ten year reunion was last year, and I didn't go, but I probably would have if I could have done it on the cheap. There's only one guy from my graduating class that I keep in touch with regularly, and that's really out of choice, but there are probably a few people it would be nice to see and say "hi" to.

6. Nope... No 5 year reunions at my school.
My 10 year reunion is coming up in three years. Now THAT makes me feel old. It's been almost 7 years since I graduated high school, almost 2 since I graduated from college. Yeesh.

7. I don't see the point, but I'm not planning on going to my tenth either.
I ran into a girl (well, I guess she's a woman now, she's married off and was quite heavily pregnant at the time) I went to school with last summer, and she was all atwitter about our upcoming tenth reunion, which is sometime this spring I guess. Anyhow, I can't figure out why on earth somebody who still lives in the same area and probably bumps into her high school classmates all the time would be so fired up about having some rubber chicken banquet with them, let alone able to talk of little else a full year ahead of time.

Now that the state doesn't require me to socialize with those people, you may safely rest assured that I won't. I can't imagine feeling otherwise in the future.

If there was a fifth, I don't know about it. I only know about the tenth because I bumped into that one chick while getting a burrito.

8. Well, one existed. 5-10-15 so far and I've missed them all.
I should have gone to the 15th. I saw a pic of a friend/jerk I used to know. I may have a belly, but I shouldn't not have self-esteem...

13. my parents both went to their high school reunions
both my stepdad and my stepmom went on to become successful attorneys.. stepdad wasn't wealthy enough in high school to be popular and mom wasn't either. needless to say they didn't "peak" in high school.

14. I don't see the point of 5-year reunions.
Here's every conversation:

"So, what have you been doing?"

"Oh, I just got out of college."

Booooooooooooring.

I went to my 10 year, though, and my 20 is later this year, and I'm definitely going, as I still have all my hair and I fit into the same suit I wore to the 10. B-)

15. It seems too soon.
But then I never went to any of mine. Of course, I never knew about them. I was told after the fact, that I was on a missing-in-action list for the 10th or 15th. At the time I'd been out of the counrty for 4 years doing some interesting and adventurous things.

16. How does the High School keep track of you?
I should have had the ten year one a few years ago. They never mailed me anything.

17. No.
Thats too soon anyways. You gotta wait to go to the one where you'll be rich enough to buy anyone who turned you down for the school dance. Thats the one you gotta go to.
