Any creative people here that can solve my putting of a small bathtub in my shower
dilema? I found 2 types of small bathtubs. Both of these tubs are about 4 foot X 4 foot5 inches. The first ones sells for around $280 and the second for $892. Obviously I think I should get #1 because I have to pay someone to put it in and re-do the tiles and the plumbing......

BUT I was just thinking....why can't I just plop one of these bad boys in the shower since it (the shower) is sunk in a few inches and I can fill the tub with the long handle of the shower massager? Then I assume it comes with a plug so I just unplug the plug and the water gets stuck underneath and black mold grows and I am dead from an asthma attack in a few months. (OK that last part is just my neurotic self BUT I do have to figure out a way to not let water sit under the tub and grow mold.

Anyone have an idea of how I can actually have a bath? I have said before here that I rent out 1/2 my house and the rental bathroom is the one with the bathtub. I have some bad injuries and get in pain a lot and I like to sit in a tub with epson salts and/or smelly stuff.

This one is much more expensive because it is deep and considered a "soaking tub" ($892) It is called a "Greek" tub

1. Unless you want to lift the bathtub off the shower floor after each use, you need a plumber.

3. Have you checked prices for the finished product? I guess I'm
afraid to contact a plumber or contractor to get an estimate.

4. Forget your idea..
about plopping the tub on top of the shower. It's a plumbing code violation, health hazard and all around bad idea.

Call a licensed contractor for an estimate, and don't buy cheap fixtures - you'll regret it later.
