Good Monday Morning, Everybody!
:hi:
Well, here I am in Jacksonville, Florida getting ready to start my training at my new store! I'm really excited about my new job and I can't wait to get out there and working again! I hope everyone is doing OK this early morning! I had a rather broken night of sleep (woke up every hour on the hour) and at 1am just finally decided to get out of that bed.

Have you ever noticed that the coffee provided in hotel rooms is inherently awful? I can't get this little coffee maker to produce a decent cup. It's always too weak and tastes like hot water even though I've tried making just two cups out of the filter pack that's supposed to make 5 cups! Anyone have any suggestions? I'm afraid I'm not going to get a good cup until I get to "Denny's" for breakfast.

So what's YOUR plan for the day today?

2. Good morning Clintmax,
It's nice to open up DU and see your cheerful morning greeting again!

Wish I could help with the coffee, but I don't make a good cup of coffee no matter how hard I try.

It sounds like you have an exciting day ahead. For me, it'll mostly be the usual..getting Granddaughter up and ready for school, doing other householdy chores and getting DH's meals ready so he can go back to work after his Dr's appt. this morning. Then I really must figure out what to do for myself to get back into the workforce along with what I can do to contribute to keeping DH healthy.

3. Good morning, Clintmax!
I know what you mean about those hotel coffee makers. I don't even try to use those. I'll usually get my coffee in the hotel dining room.

Sounds like the new job will be an exciting opportunity for you! They're lucky to have you.

Me? Work. I hope it will be quiet today.

:hi:

5. I just knew you were going "up the ladder!" Congrats
BTW, get a package of Senseo Dark Roast in pods. Replace that hotel coffee and enjoy your next cup.

6. Good morning Clintmax.
:hi: :)

I'm going to drive 120 miles to bring my grandma home from the hospital today. She's doing a lot better now. She's almost back to her normal self. :)

7. Good morning Clint
:hi:

Well, considering it is already 1pm here in Germany, OK, almost, half my work day has passed already.

I just had me a big salad for lunch (homemade) and now I am stuffed and full of energy for the afternoon. Or maybe just stuffed but without the energy ... LOL .... ask me again in an hour or two :)

How long will your training be?

:hi:

8. Indeed! It is a Good Morning.
The sun is shining brightly! It's still very cold ~ 20°.
We have burned a cord of wood each month to keep this old house warm and the oil heating bills down.

Today I'll be bundled up while I'm out in the yard picking up dead wood from our front half acre. The handyman who cut down the old trees left a huge mess in my yard! It could be beautiful out there. I want to add some perennials and flowering trees this year but first I've got to clean out the area.

As for your coffee plight. ... yes, hotel coffee is the worst! I used to bring my own coffee pot, grinder and beens when I was traveling.
Going out for a hearty breakfast or just a normal cup of coffee sounds like your best bet for the next two weeks.

I believe the best stay for my buck has been at The Hampton Inns. I too have trouble sleeping in hotel rooms but not when I sleep at a Hampton.

 Have a great first day. :loveya:
