2. I can tolerate this one a bit more |

Spitzer has not been one of these 'Family Man' types pushing the hetero constitutional amendment. He has not passed judgement on others for the most part.
I'm upset that he would stumble like this, I thought he had a bright future in the party. But I hope he shows a little dignity instead of blaming it on a 'wide-stance'so to speak.

ring bust. It makes him look like the hypocrite that he apparently is. I am really disappointed.

I liked Spitzer's politics. I hope he can handle this correctly and that his family won't be put through too much pain.

need someone new form their side doing something worse than Spitzer did.

The ratio of scandals between the R's and the D's is, of course, highly unbalanced in favor of the R's, but somehow, they will manage to twist this around to make it look like the D's are all godless, lawless assholes.

Having somebody who was a very important crusader against corporate abuse be undercut by his own (apparently criminal) hypocrisy does all of us unspeakable harm.

and others, already knew that Dems are just as susceptible to corruption as anyone else. I think the difference lies in those ordinary people who pull the (D) lever every election day and their willingness to hold their own leaders accountable. I surely hope that holds true in this case. :o
Our best hope is to hold Spitzer accountable for what he's done. We'd be in loads of trouble if we let him get away with corruption just because of the (D) after his name. We should treat him the same way we'd treat any (R) for the same thing. As long as the evidence shows he actually did this. Since this is the first I've heard of it, I don't really know enough to say if it does or not.

24. He more or less copped to it at the press conference |
|
"I apologize first and most importantly to my family. I apologize to the public, to whom I promised better," he said.
He did not elaborate on the paper's claims and did not take any questions after making his statement.
"I am disappointed that I failed to live up to the standard I expected of myself," he saidhttp://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/10/spitzer/index.htmlWhat isn't known yet is what his "involvement" was.
