Looking for sneakers with flexible soles... |
|
...I need 'em for my plantar fascitis. I have a pair of Sketchers casual leather shoes that are great in this regard (I think it's a side effect of the cheap construction), but they are just too darn hot for summer.
I need sandals too, but those can wait til it's a little warmer.
Any suggestions?

1. I have tried every kind of tennis shoe ever made |
|
and spent a lot of money doing so. In my opinion, Sketchers are the very best as far as keeping the pain away. I dont know why, they arent really marketed for that the way some of the others are.
Tiva sandals are the most comfortable for me and I can walk in them all day without my legs hurting.

2. Spelled "Teva", if you are searching the internets |
|
And yes, they're comfortable.

4. Youre right it is Teva |
|
I was so sad when my last pair just wore out, I had worn them so much!!! I cant find the exact model anywhere to replace them with !!!
I had bought a pair of New Balance tennis shoes at one of the big sporting goods stores, and they were offering sandals at half price with the purchase of New Balance when I bought that pair of sandals. I have looked high and low for the same pair, to no avail.

6. I think Nike Free 7.0 is the winner |
|
It mimics natural foot movement, has a low heel, and should be cushioned. This may be perfect for a plantar fascitis sneaker...
I had forgotten about Tevas, I will definitely look into those for a sandal, so long as I can get something that's not 100% synthetic - not as comfy in the heat.

The poly-mesh version of these Asics are very lightweight and flexible (but you can only buy them from this catalog): http://www.varsity.com/catalog/08/CDT/CDT_p64.pdfhttp://www.varsity.com/catalog/08/CDT/CDT_p65.pdf

8. Any skateboard shoe with vulcanized soles are nice and flexible. |
|
Dunno if it'd be good for your purposes, though. I wear a pair of Emerica Francis and they are nice.
