We have yet to get into a political argument, but he is obviously doing well enough after his little scare earlier this week to go hit balls.

2. It is basically an indoor driving range.

In order to be able to hit balls in Minnesota this time of year (actually November through March) you must have an indoor golf facility.

7. Are you hitting them off of turf?

I went to an indoor/outdoor driving range in Japan once where they had basically big natural grass pods that you hit off of. It was outdoor, but heated so you didn't feel the cold (As my friend Jassar said, "Those crafty-ass Japanese think of everything!). I really dislike hitting off of turf- it lies to you. You can be hitting 3 inches behind the ball and still hit solid shots. But when you get on the course, it's chunk, chunk, chunk.

10. Great description, turf sucks

I'm at the range plenty now, in Miami. I don't have time to play many full rounds since I'm helping a family member who is still recovering from a diabetic coma. On the darn carpet my old draw is dependable, like my teenage heyday with the Haig Ultra irons. But I know it's a mirage, and sure enough when I make it to the actual course, or when the range allows you to hit off the actual grass, my controlled draw is not nearly as reliable, in fact mostly absent unless accompanied by a pull.
