Then spend a moment adding your data here. This is a petition, already nicely filled out and addressed. It is in opposition to a land giveaway up in Alaska. 110,000 acres of the Yukon Flats Wildlife Preserve are to be handed over to a couple of Big Business profiteers so that they can drill for the oil and mine the minerals. I dunno, seems to me like that land belongs to ALL of us and it has been set aside for nature, not for a couple of business's to come wreck in order to get even richer. (Well that's how I see it at any rate)

I've posted this in a couple of other places, got a couple of votes out of it and I hope to get a couple more out of you folks.

EDIT ALERT: Just after posting this, another DUer has alerted me that he could not get his addition to the petition to register. I'll leave this up here just in case the problem was on his end...sadly I suspect it was not. Why oh why when I try to do somthin nice... does it always seems to go fizzel like a wet firecracker...!

Good, I sorta figured that folks were not ignoring the petition (I am an optimist that way)...it's just nice to get a "done-n/t" post letting me know that my post made a tiny difference. I'll make sure to get such petitions into the activist forums first here on out.

Note cons_are_liars, and my conversation. He bumped into this as well but then got back to me confirming that the petition IS still viable! I can not check the problem out with my system. When I go there, I get "Welcome Back...", I am blocked from further participation on this petition because I have already added my 2-cents and submitted it. I think the problem may be due to my posting the link AFTER participating in it... well I hope that is the problem. I'd hate to think that the rat bastard profiteers have found a way to sabotage the petition at this link.
