My house is a royal effing mess, I'm exhausted, I'm hoping to leave on vacation tomorrow

and the Orkin guy is coming next week. I can't leave the house like this when this guy comes. It's not like I can just straighten up part of it--he sprays around every window in the house, in the attic, every where!!

And I just feel too tired to get much done tonight. And I'm not pleased with my sermon for tomorrow (to scholarly--been reading too much Girard).

Please tell me that if I just work on my sermon for a bit and then go to bed, the cleaning fairies will come during the night. Please!

You could reschedule the Orkin visit until you come back if all else fails. The sermon on the other hand needs to be done today. :hi:

I told him I don't care and won't bitch about the contract, but he says there's no way around it. Happily, he consented to having my assistant let him in, which he didn't want to do at first.

6. I just called the Orkin man--yeah, I have to reschedule so often, I have his cell number...

He says he can do it on the 31st, before noon, but that's the only time after I get home he can do it!
Yay! I get home next Saturday--hopefully around noon. That gives me all afternoon and evening both Saturday and Sunday to get my upstairs (which is the worst--cuz no one ever goes there but me and the critters) in shape. The downstairs isn't bad. Well, that is, it's pretty much presentable.

But I still have to sign off!

7. I can relate. I never clean my house, really, unless someone is coming over.

(I know, I know. I'm a slob. :P) But I have been in your position of not wanting to clean up the day before vacation.
