That's remarkable! Bookmarked, and with my thanks to you for posting it. The legwork of the thing really mimics human hips and legs, but has them opposed, like two people facing each other in there.
That's some extraordinary engineering, no doubt about it.

It's sort of creepy, like a big bug, but it would be so much fun to play with.

how it deals with being overturned.

Attacking the Rebel Base on the ice planet of Hoth?
This is very cool, really. I can see where a refinement in that technology could be used to make prosthetic limbs, and for reconnaissance/exploration in areas that would be dangerous to humans.

Wake me up when DARPA develops Bipedal combat robots like you see in Gundam, Macross, or BattleTech.
/Obscure geek cultural reference ON I'll take a Timber Wolf (or Mad Cat for you Inner Sphere losers), Dual Clan ER PPCs, Twin Clan LRM20 racks, A couple of Clan ER Small Lasers, and plenty of heat sinks, please.
Dual Clan ER PPCs: When you absolutely, positively have to slag an Inner sphere 'Mech from 600 meters right the fuck NOW! /Obscure geek cultural reference OFF
