What song can you karaoke the best? |
|
I think I bust out a solid version of "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" by CCR. At least lately, anyway. This is not to say that it's actually that good though. What is solid for me is likely a reason for the neighbors to call the cops.

4. I usually get a good reception with "Somebody to Love" by Jefferson Airplane |
|
but I also do "Edge of Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks that people tend to like
And then once in a while I'll do a song that people haven't heard in forever, and they just love it. "Someone to Lay Down Beside Me" by Linda Ronstadt is one of the ones that falls into that category.

But if I did, it would probably be either something the Carpenters did, or John Denver, or Alan Parsons, or Dennis Deyoung's "Desert Moon" for which I have an earworm.

and saying I can karaoke it 'best' is relative, of course. I suck at singing, but in a small grass-covered bar in the South Pacific after a few warm beers, who cares!

My two favorites to sing duet with a guy are "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" and "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)". My dear friend Mike and I sing Meat Loaf together pretty much every time he comes to visit. He does the best Meat Loaf tribute that I've ever heard. :)

but I am not one of them, unfortunately! :hi: I don't think I have the depth, range, or power to adequately rock that song...I don't know, though, maybe if I got drunk enough beforehand I would be brave enough to take a stab at it! :P
